Doug attended Penn State University in Wilkes-Barre, PA and the University of Missouri in Columbia, MO between 1988 and 1992 for Computer Science and Creative Writing. Doug has also attended a large number of training classes for network technologies, proprietary systems and services, project management techniques, software architecture, and software development technologies.

Doug passed along his knowledge to others by teaching C++, Microsoft Visual C++, and advanced C++ at Tulsa Community College in 1995 and 1996.
